Applying to
Universities & Colleges

Congratulations on starting to apply to university or college. It is a stressful process but YOU CAN DO IT.  Here are some links for applications:

UK:

TIS is a closed Cambridge Assessment Admissions Testing site.

  • UCAS – Online application for all of the universities in the UK (and some foundation programs). You can apply to a maximum of 5 universities for a fixed price.

  • Foundation programs can be applied directly to the college

USA:

TIS is an SAT & AP test site. Only TIS students are able to take these exams at TIS. Please contact your Mr. Charles Wester to learn how to register with the College Board for these exams

  • CommonApp – Online application allows you to apply to multiple US universities. It can also be used for other countries, but we don’t advise it yet.

  • University of California – Online application for all of the campuses in the University of California system

CANADA:

  • Apply Alberta – online application for the province of Alberta. Allows you to apply to all of the universities in Alberta.

  • Apply BC – online application for the province of British Columbia. Allows you to apply to all of the universities in BC.

  • OUAC – 105 – online application for the province of Ontario. Allows you to apply to all of the universities in Ontario (you get 3 for the first price)

HONG KONG: *Make sure you know if you have the “right to abode” (Non-Jupas students) or not (International students) in Hong Kong before you apply

MACAU: There are several routes to getting acceptances from Macau universities. Please talk to your Academic Counsellor early to go over your options.

AUSTRALIA (Australian Citizens):

  • UAC – online application for state of New South Wales. Only for domestic Australian students (citizens and permanent residence).

  • VTAC – online application for state of Victoria. Only for domestic Australian students (citizens and permanent residence).

  • QTAC – online application for state of Queensland. Only for domestic Australian students (citizens and permanent residence). 

  • SATAC –online application for state of South Australia. Only for domestic Australian students (citizens and permanent residence).
