Chinese Program
The TIS Chinese Language Program offers daily classes designed to enhance students' communicative skills. The program focuses on developing listening, speaking, reading, and writing abilities while fostering cultural understanding and awareness.
Students from Pre-Kindergarten to Senior Kindergarten learn Chinese in a play-based environment, focusing on developing their daily communication skills. Basic concepts of the Chinese language, such as Pinyin and Chinese characters, are introduced in kindergarten to foster language awareness.
All students from Grade 1 to Grade 9 participate in Chinese lessons tailored to their language proficiency levels. In high school, students have the option to continue their Chinese studies. In Grades 11 and 12, they can choose Chinese as one of their International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) subjects.
