TIS Students at the Macao Speech Contest

Nov 26, 2025

On November 19, our Primary Writing & Speech Club students proudly represented the school at the Macao‑wide English Speech Contest & “21st Century Cup” National English Speaking Competition (Macao Regional Contest), held at Universidade Politécnica de Macau. This year’s theme was “The 15th National Games.”

Three of our young speakers — Anja (Grade 3), Ilena (Grade 3), and James (Grade 5) — advanced to the finals. In preparing and presenting their speeches, they showed themselves to be true Risk‑takers, approaching the challenge with courage and confidence. They embodied the spirit of Thinkers and Communicators, using creativity and expression to share their ideas with a wider audience.

The Primary Writing & Speech Club is part of our Leadership & Production Activities (LPAs), which provide students with opportunities to develop their voices, take initiative, and grow as leaders through authentic experiences.

Although they didn’t take home the top prize, their achievement in reaching the finals reflects the resilience and growth we celebrate in our learners.

We are grateful to parents for their encouragement, and proud of the guidance provided by Ms. Jahng, Ms. Jennifer Geronimo, and Ms. Carla. Our Head of School was also present, underscoring the strong support our leadership offers to student initiatives.

Congratulations to our students for living the Tiger Learner Profile and shining in this event!
