Reaching New Heights Together

This year's annual Track & Field Day was filled with excitement! The day started off with an energetic game of Tug-of-War, setting the tone for friendly competition as students rallied behind their Phoenix, Lion, Dragon, and Panda house teams. As the event progressed, participants transitioned to “Rob the Nest” and “VIP Tag,” engaging in fun, interactive games that kept the spirit high and earned points for their respective houses.

The event reached new heights with the thrilling 100-meter and 200-meter dashes, where participants showcased their speed and determination. The grand finale was the relay races, where teams worked together in perfect sync to pass the baton and cross the finish line, showcasing what we can achieve when we work together.

This year, students weren’t the only ones running the 100m! In a hilarious twist, some adventurous teachers joined the fun in inflatable costumes, waddling, bouncing, and sometimes tumbling their way to the finish line! 

Beyond these memorable moments, Track & Field Day highlighted the unity and sportsmanship we cherish at TIS. This year's focus on the UN SDG Goal #3, which emphasizes good health and well-being, was the theme that resonated throughout the whole event. At TIS, we believe in promoting physical literacy, teaching our students not just the skills of physical education, but how to cultivate healthy habits that will keep their bodies and minds functioning at their best.

A special thank you goes out to the elementary PE team, parents, and everyone who contributed to making this event possible, helping us celebrate not only our students’ athletic achievements, but the values we cultivate together that #LightTheWay for their future success.
