Grade 6 Students Turn Ideas into Real-World Impact!
On Wednesday, March 25, our Grade 6 students hosted a Student Fundraising Actions Event as part of their PYP Exhibition. The campus buzzed with energy as students ran creative stalls and activities, organised clothing swaps, stationery donations, goods sales, beverage stands, and basketball competitions, taking their first meaningful steps toward making a global difference.
As part of the IB Primary Years Programme, students researched real-world issues, linking them directly to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and designed student-led actions to make a difference. For example, one group focused on "Zero Hunger," turning their passion for baking into a successful sale for Caritas.
This hands-on experience allowed students to turn classroom learning into real-world action, developing essential life skills such as communication, collaboration, leadership, time management, and problem-solving. Even more importantly, all funds and every item donated will benefit a charity chosen by students.
This event was a lead-up to the full PYP Exhibition. Grade 6 families are invited to attend:
