TIS Students Showcase Talent at the Rotary Club Charity Event
On April 5th, a group of our school's gifted young musicians took center stage at the 78th Annual Charity Ball hosted by the Rotary Club of Macau. The evening, themed "Time Travel," showcased their creativity and talent in front of over 400 guests.
With Ms. Chu, our secondary music teacher, and Head of School Lorne Schmidt in attendance, the event highlighted the students' commitment to making a positive impact and their dedication to supporting the community.
Highlights of the Evening:
The TIS String Ensemble performed Pachelbel’s Canon and Mozart’s Violin Trio, featuring student-performers Naomi, Katie, Joanne, Alicia, Dorian, Erica and Tristan.
Our Vocal Duet presented renditions of “Just a Man” and “Waiting On a Miracle,” performed by Franky and Carol.
The Hotpot Duet featuring Samuel and Cloris, brought a taste of cultural richness with “Orchid Pavilion” and a Chinese flute solo.
It was inspiring to see our students not only excel in their performances but also engage with the community. Their participation in events like the Charity Ball underscores TIS’s mission to cultivate not just academic excellence but also a strong sense of social responsibility.
We take immense pride in knowing that our students are not only growing as individuals but also contributing positively to the world around them. Events like the Charity Ball illustrate the supportive environment at TIS, where students are encouraged to shine both in and out of the classroom. This commitment to developing talent and social responsibility is central to our school culture.
