Greek Tragedy takes Centre Stage at TIS

May 11, 2021

Congratulations to all the cast and crew of the TIS Secondary Players on their sell-out performance last weekend when they brought to life the Greek tragedy of Antigone. The production of forty plus secondary students wowed the audience from the moment they took their seats and was transported to ancient Greece through live music, dance and storytelling.

The adaptation by George Judy of Antigone, written by Sophocles in 442 B.C., portrays the story of a young girl, Antigone, who fights for the right to bury her dead brother against the orders of government officials.

Thank you to Mr. Thom Ferlisi for guiding the students in another successful production.
