TIS Students Awarded in the Macao-wide English Essay Competition
This year’s Macao-wide English Essay Competition named the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as their theme under the title “The Change I Want to Make."
Thinking about the changes you can make in your community is an essential part of the TIS mission in developing students who can think critically to find solutions that will positively impact our local and global community.
With over 1600 participating students from different schools and educational institutions of Macao, we are incredibly proud of TIS students Jonathan (G11), Tiffany(G12) and Autumn (G6). They were distinguished last Saturday at the Macao English Essay Competition Award Ceremony, an event organised by the Macau Speech Professional Association.
These three TIS students really made an impression on the judges with their essays. Jonathan’s essay “The Future We Desire is Not the Future We are Getting” earning him the top prize in the competition in the High School category. Tiffany and Autumn followed in second place in the High School and Upper Primary categories.
